Ghosts, Goblins and Grace

I took the girls to the "boo at the zoo" this year to trick or treat. Grace and Sophie loved the train and animals. Grace rode the carousel and Sophie didn't know what to think of it. It was a windy day but overall OK since it hadn't snowed. Afterwards we went to see Pappy at Olive Juice's house, visited Grandma Helen, went and did "trunk or treat" trick or treating out of trunks at a church in Grantsville, went to Chris' who had a crazy haunted house set up in his garage, ran over to the fire station for hot cocoa and hot dogs and a little trick or treating and then topped the night off by trick or treating at Pappy and Mammy's. You may ask yourself, how in the world did you fit that all in??? It's called being a mom in modern times...yes, you moms know what I'm talking about. Multi-tasking is sometimes just by chance and not a work of art. Grace had a blast being Pocahontas! It was a fun-filled day but I was ready to hit the hay!

California Trip

We had a pretty good time in doors in Cali. It was pretty hot and muggy most of our visit but we managed the beach, ear piercing for Sophie and time spent with the family indoors.

6 Month Comparison

I wanted to compare the looks between the two girls at 6 months to see how much they looked alike. The results are in. What do you all think?

Update

Things have been a little rough the last few days as I took a bad spill down the stairs again with both of my girls in hand. I took the fall so that they weren't hurt, the little cuties, but man oh man, it hurts bad. Here's pics of the little cutie pies. Hope all enjoy!

Finally, an update

The girls have been doing well. Grace loves to say, "yeah, yeah, yeah. Calm down Mom, I keen it up". Baby Sophie has the sweetest temperment and is too busy smiling all the time at me trying to feed her that after about 20 minutes or so she gives in and cleans the food up fast. They have both been a lot of fun. I love the different stages of growing and learning.

Hawaiin Luau

We received this little get up from some friends when they went on their trip to Hawaii. I have been waiting for Grace to grow into it and it's still a little too big but Grace wasn't as excited for the photo ops as I was today. After some bribery (chocolate) I talked her into taking a few pics. I couldn't stop laughing.

Beautiful Sophie

So it looks like Sophie will take on a look of her own afterall. When she was first born to Robert and I she was a spitting image of our first born Grace but now that a month is past it looks like she will either have hazel or brown eyes (we can't tell yet) and lighter hair. Stay tuned for more growing.

The Latest

Things have been busy with little to no sleep having a newborn and then adding my little spice to the mix that we call "Gracie". I managed to fit a few pics into this week. I'm certainly not taking as many pics as I did with Grace but I haven't forgotten our little Sophie and her pics.

The Big Sister

Bringing in a new addition to the home can always be a little hard on the siblings. We've had to pay extra special attention to our baby Grace! She's enjoyed helping sister with her binkie and diaper changing. I went to breast feed Sophie and she screamed, "No! The bottle!" Apparantely she's not an advocate...lol

Sophie's Bath Time

Let's just say we were a little more excited for Sophie's first bath then she was

This is what she looked like before the bath. Perhaps that's why she was a little perturbed!

Welcome Baby Sophia

Welcome to our newest edition of the family, Sophia Loren Fields Ruiz. Sophie was brought into the world on February 23, 2010 at 10:27pm weighing 8 lbs and 3oz. She was brought in emergency c-section (they didn't even have time to draw my blood) but the pain is well worth it.

It's so ironic to have first seen my little bundle. It was like having Grace all over again. They look identical. I brought Grace's first pictures in with me to compare and voila same everything! Grace had a little bit more hair and weighed 7 lbs 6.5 oz but other than that, they are twins.
